Zone Leader Council . . .

Following transfers this past week, we had the zone leaders to the mission home for our Zone Leaders Council meeting. Unfortunately, the zone leaders in Coyhaique and Punta Arenas were not able to attend. To minimize costs, they only attend a couple of times during the year. We love being together with this group. Seated with Susie and I are Elder Malca from Peru and Elder Larsen from Centerville, UT. Our two assistants Elder Seager from Santaquin, UT and Elder Opazo from Santiago are seated on the arms of the couch. Standing l-r are: Elder Navarro from Peru, Elder Moser from Neosho, Missouri, Elder Diaz from Chile, Elder Davis from Orem, Utah, Elder Moncada from Honduras, Elder Araneda from Chile, Elder States from Midvale, Utah, Elder Nash from Provo, Utah, Elder Bateman from Salem, Oregon, Elder Hogan from Mansfield, Texas, Elder Gimenez from Argentina, Elder Shumway from Mesa, Arizona, Elder Aspitia from Argentina, Elder Riches from Grantsville, Utah, Elder Haderlie from Spanish Fork, Utah, Elder Sturm from Rexburg, Idaho, Elder Vargas from Honduras and Elder Campozano from Ecuador. Not pictured from Coyhaique are Elder Silva and Elder Castillo, both from Honduras. Not pictured from Punta Arenas are Elder Darrington from Nevada and Elder Poujol from Honuras.

A look at the right side of our conference room in the basement of the mission home.

A look at the left side of our conference room in the basement of the mission home. When the basement is full of these missionaries, it becomes like a temple to us. What great young men these are!

One final picture. The family of Elder Bigelow who has been serving as one of our assistants for the past six months, came to pick him up. They ended up bringing about 8 suitcases with over 400 pounds of candy and treats for our missionaries. The missionaries will either love this candy over the next few zone conferences, or Susie and I will gain about 200 pounds between us in the coming months. We are so grateful for their kindness and generosity.
